Stone Town City Tour and Prison Island Visit
Departing the hotel after breakfast, ready for your city tour, a guided walking tour through Stone Town, and visiting the historical sites within the narrow alleyways in the old stone city. It includes visiting the former slave market site, which now stands as Anglican Church built in 1871, the town market, Freddy Mercury House, the old Arab Fort (Ngome Kongwe), Palace Museum, and Old Indian Dispensary (cultural
center). Lunch in a local restaurant (own arrangement). Later we will sail to Prison Island in a traditional sailing dhow. The island used to be a prison in 1860 and remains the home of giant tortoises up to 120 years old! This is the best snorkeling swimming spot, then a transfer to your hotel.
