Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia, and Kathmandu is Nepal’s capital and largest city. It shares borders with India to the south, east, and west, and China to the north. As of 2021, Nepal has an estimated population of around 29.7 million. The currency used in Nepal is the Nepalese rupee, the official language of Nepal, but many other languages are spoken there. Interestingly Hinduism is the largest religion in Nepal, followed by Buddhism and Islam.
