About Anna
Born and raised on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, I have a special passion for all things Tanzania and all things adventure. I am the managing director in charge of marketing, and I also handle our local partnerships. I’m trained in Social Anthropology at the University of Oxford, which has fueled my passion for sustainability, being not only something that you talk about but something that you do. My favorite adventure is the Machame Route on Mount Kilimanjaro, the landscape is absolutely beautiful, and for me, it is an almost spiritual experience.

About John
Originally from the island of Gotland, and trained as a renaissance historian at Uppsala University. My dream adventure right now is a high-altitude hike in Nepal. I am the managing director in charge of the business side of things. My special passion is sustainable and socially responsible adventure tourism.

About Sally
I am a Kenyan, trained in tour guiding, administration, tourism, and business studies. I am a nature enthusiast and a travel consultant who loves adventures in new places, making new friends, and experiencing different cultures. I enjoy planning and offering clients wonderful quality experiences so that they return for more adventures with us. In my free time, I enjoy visiting national parks, watching wildlife documentaries, and going on nature walks as I study flora and fauna.

How long have you been climbing?
From 2009 up to date. I became a Mountain Guide in 2012. So 13 years as a climbing guide for both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

Moshi Town.

What do you like about the mountain?
The nature on the mountain, the fitness of being on the mountain, the exposure. Also I get to learn different cultures with different by being on the mountain – it’s great!
Do you have any special interest when it comes to nature or sports?
Mountain biking, trekking, high altitude marathons (Rongai gate-summit).
What’s are your best tip(s) to clients who want to summit Kilimanjaro?
Have a positive mind (a strong heart and mind). I think people should just dream it and not think it too much.

How long have you been climbing?
I have been climbing for about ten years now and I have been on the Summit more than 250 different times.

I am from Moshi Municipal , Kilimanjaro – Tanzania.

What do you like about the mountain?
I like the forest, birds, wild animals, flowers, plants, views, sunrises, sunsets, trails and the ice field or (Permanent Ice cap)… The list goes on…
Do you have any special interest when it comes to nature or sports?
Yes, I’m very interested in nature. I love everything about the mountain. I also love learning new things, so I’m up for anything!
What’s are your best tip(s) to clients who want to summit Kilimanjaro?
Here is my list:
1: Be a good listener
2: Follow the rules and regulations from the National Parks
3: Drink at least 2.5 – 3.5 liters of water everyday
4: Do not rush or climb fast in order to get a chance for your body to acclimatise
5: Try to eat enough when you have an appetite

I am a professional safari guide born and raised in Moshi City, Tanzania. I’ve been doing my job for 21 years and I am 45 years old. I have a diploma in Advanced Tour Guiding. I am educated at the Vocational Training Education Authority Of Tanzania (VETA), and Mweka College of African Wildlife Studies specializing in tourism, first aid, fieldwork, wildlife, plants, and biology. I have also received training at Safari Training Center and Wayo Bush schools for more wildlife knowledge and ornithology studies.
I am so passionate about wildlife and I love guiding people in the beautiful national parks that we have here in Tanzania. This is my dream job and I love it! I believe that ecotourism is very important for Tanzania’s wildlife conservation and that is why I have dedicated my life to showing people nature and wildlife so that they can truly appreciate and understand the importance of conservation and protection of our wildlife and environment.

The nature and that you are constantly exposed to different environments and there are always new expereiences.

I am really interested in checking out wild fauna and flora. But when it comes down to it I love climbing , mountain biking and Uhuru peak!

If you want to succeed, take it slow! “Pole pole” as we say.

I started off as a mountain porter in 1999. Then as an assistant guide from 2001 to 2002. In 2003 I became a Professional Guide. So it’s been 23 years now guiding on the mountain.

I’m from Mwanga , the Pare society!

What do you like about the mountain?
I love the nature. My favorite zones are the forest, the Alpine Desert and the summit ofcourse!

I love walking and exercising in general.
What’s are your best tip(s) to clients who want to summit Kilimanjaro?
If you want to summit you need someone who know how to encourage you and support you along the journey. Plus it doesn’t hurt to get hospitality on the mountain.

How long have you been climbing?
I was a mountain porter for one year to support myself, then I became an assistant guide for another year and a half. It became a natural step to become a mountain guide. So, I’ve been climbing from 2002 to date, so about 19 years.
Where are you from? Which area?
I’m from Tanga, the coast area Mombo.
Age?
45 years old!
What do you like about the mountain?
I love the exposure, the climbing culture and it never gets old with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Do you have any special interest when it comes to nature or sports?
I run marathons, play football. I also love watching football. But anything to do with sport trekking or running on mountains then I’m in!
What’s are your best tip(s) to clients who want to summit Kilimanjaro?
I think that having a guide who can encourage you is important. A guide who can check their clients heart beat, blood circulation and oxygen levels so that you get the best help that you need. Having first aid knowledge comes in handy and gives the client the security that they need so that they know that they are in good hands.
